Desoto Council on Aging

About Us

Every person deserves the chance to live a comfortable, independent life, especially into his or her twilight years. Since 1971, the DeSoto Council On Aging in Mansfield, Louisiana, has offered long-term, personal services to seniors 60 and older, providing exceptional senior care and elder care to the people in our community. Each and every day, our clients bring smiles to the faces of our staff members.

We operate as a non-profit and only ask for a small, suggested donation for our services. Our goal is to ensure every senior has access to compassionate, professional care regardless of economic status. By working with the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs,DHH,Cleco, Medicare and Medicaid, we make sure we have the funds we need to keep our programs running as well as continue building a small fund to help impoverished clients with electric bills.
